Grab Your Tools and Get Ready to go to Work
Construction Simulator 2015 is a brand new simulation game that puts players on a construction site and gives them a wide range of tasks to complete. Unless you have ever dreamed of working on a construction site, this concept might seem a bit dull. Read on to discover if the game offers more than just unpaid work.
Players are presented with an impressive range of game features to explore in Construction Simulation 2015. These include more than two hundred different missions, fifteen construction machines and lots of other tools at their disposal. In addition to the regular mode, there is also a multiplayer mode that allows like-minded friends to team up or pit their wits against each other.
It is clear that the creators have gone all out to try and make this concept as fun and engaging as possible. Among the different elements that are included are the chance to spend time exploring the pretty detailed open world of the game and constructing a wide range of different structures.
The game starts in a small village where players are tasked with proving that they have the skills that it takes to make a name for themselves in the competitive world of construction. After they have successfully completed a few missions, players are then transported to a much larger city that offers many more construction opportunities for them to choose from.
Players a guided on the mission by a series of game tutorials that are fairly easy to follow. Rather than presenting gamers with a lot of information all at once, the information is doled out gradually as and when it is needed to make it easier to digest. This also helps to make getting to grips with the game much easier and players will not feel like they are overloaded with information that they have to try and remember all at once.
At the start of the game, players are mostly tasked with delivering items such as bricks and planks of wood to various areas of the construction site. This can feel a bit dull and repetitive and it can seem like ages before you are actually able to play around d with the larger machines. This is an important part of the game however, as using the forklift truck helps teach players the skills they will need later to manoeuvre the bigger and badder machines.
Many of the missions that players are presented with take rather a large amount of time to complete. This also means that gamers who want to get through to the city stage will also need plenty of patience and perseverance. Just like in life, you have to work your way up the ladder and show that you have the skills needed to complete the tasks required of you.
This is perhaps the main problem with the game; it is too much like life. Instead of a series of work related tasks, it would have been more satisfying, although of course less realistic, if the creators had added some mini games to break up the monotony.
Construction Simulator 2015 represents the experience of working on a construction site well. People who are attracted to this game should know what to expect and not be surprised when they find themselves performing various tasks in this environment. Although the graphics need polishing the overall game is not bad.
